Graduate Prospects is the commercial arm of HECSU (Higher Education Careers Services Unit), a registered charity owned byUniversities UK and GuildHE.

Unlike its commercial competitors, Graduate Prospects is not responsible to a remote body of shareholders but instead invests its profits into the higher education system for the benefit of all – careers services, students and graduates, and recruiters.

Every year, HECSU spends between £750k and £1million supporting careers services and helping students and graduates with their careers, and supporting the work of higher education careers services in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

What we do

Graduate Prospects is the UK’s leading provider of information, advice and opportunities to all students and graduates. Our graduate employment and postgraduate study guides are available online, digitally and in printed form at all UK and Ireland careers services, careers fairs and other campus outlets across the UK.

Prospects is the UK’s biggest and busiest graduate careers website, with more than one million unique browsers every month. It is also home to UK higher education’s official postgraduate study database.

Who we work with

Graduate Prospects has a professional partnership with the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS).

AGCAS has benefited substantially from our charitable donations, which are used to achieve our common objective: supporting HE careers services and related sectors to maximise the opportunities and support available to all students and graduates throughout their career search.

Graduate Prospects also works with:

  • UCAS and the NUS, who have become our official partners to ensure that we succeed in our Mission: To be the leading UK provider of graduate careers and recruitment solutions.
  • Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to deliver Graduate Talent Pool, a government initiative designed to help match the skills businesses require with those offered by new and recent graduates.
  • University for Industry (UFI) and its brand LearnDirect, a government initiative that aims to put individuals in a better position to get jobs and improve their career prospects, and boost business competitiveness.
